The Villas San Gabriel are privately owned and managed apartments located at the convenient corner of 25th and San Gabriel in West Campus.  While they were built a few years before the major wave of apartments construction that began in 2006 - the wave that resulted in the countless new apartment buildings such as Phase I and Phase II of  The Quarters and The Block or the truly enormous Jefferson 26 - the building is solid, well built, and still aesthetically pleasing in a way that many of the somewhat older complexes are not.  A medium-sized building with a reputation for excellent prices and spacious, well maintained units, The Villas San Gabriel are among that elite group of small to medium sized complexes such as Texan West Campus, 900 West, and Villas Nueces that lease quickly every single year.  The complex is located on a prime West Campus corner right next to the West Campus bus stop, close to Cuatros and other restaurants, and within just a few short blocks walking distance to campus.  And with garage parking included in the rental price for most units, this amazing location, and competitive pricing for 2010 (read more to get details!), Villas San Gabriel is going fast!

Villas San Gabriel offers 2,3, and a small selection of 4, 5, and 6 bedroom floor plans.  The 2/2 units go for $1500 or $750 per person and include two parking spaces in the rental price.  The 3BR comes in a 3 bath and a 2 bath configuration; both are the same price at $2,175 or $725 per person, but the 2 bath floor plan is a bit larger.  Both include two parking spots for free and another spot can be purchased for just $75 per month.  There’s also one 4/3 for $2,850 and one 6/4 for $3,750 (with 3 and 5 parking spots, respectively) and two 5/3 units for $3,350 with four parking spots each.  All units are available for an August 16th, 2010 move in and feature the following amenities: hard tile in common areas, garage (covered) parking, gated access for both pedestrians and vehicles, crown molding, full size washers and dryers in each unit, garden tubs, sunbathing areas, nine-foot ceilings, a gorgeous swimming pool and deck area, microwaves in each unit, and covered patios with storage available.  It’s hard to stress just how well these units measure up to the competition - students are always amazed to walk the property and see the quality of size of the units in relation to others in this price range in West Campus.

    I was a resident of Villas at San Gabriel while attending UT and loved it. The grounds are always perfectly maintained and the leasing professionals will bend over backwards to help out their tenants. It’s probably not the same since Bongo’s BBQ is no longer in existence though. We’re does one go to get BBQ these days on West Campus? I guess you can go eat BBQ at the SAE house. No more Burt’s either…Jesus. Anyways, back to Villas at San Gabriel on West Campus. Great place! Highly recommend leasing there if you’re in the market.
